The Order of Chartered Accountants of the Kingdom of Morocco organizes, in June 2019, the 5th edition of the Africa Congress of Accountants (ACOA) in partnership with the Pan African Federation of Accounting (PAFA).
Morocco is a member of the PAFA organization, launched in 2011 and, as of today, sits on its board. Because PAFA’s strategic mission is of public interest, its members work to accelerate the development of the accountancy profession, strengthen its voice in Africa, and help build strong public institutions and sustainable economies.
The PAFA is composed of 53 professional accountancy organizations from 43 countries. Accountants and public auditors are an integral part of the members of this federation:
The first 4 editions of ACOA were a great success. They took place successively in Kenya, Ghana, Mauritius and Uganda with more than 1000 participants from different sides, coming from Africa, America, Asia and Europe.
The June 2019 event will feature the participation of more than 1,200 people including heads of state, decision-makers, representatives of the High Royal Patronage, economists, financial professionals, investors, entrepreneurs, representatives of private companies, regulators and strong delegations of public institutions.
Thanks to the strategic vision and the pan-African commitment of His Majesty Mohammed VI, may God glorify Him, the Kingdom of Morocco succeeded in acquiring an unprecedented continental visibility and in applying South-South cooperation dynamic where Morocco is positioned as an inescapable hub.
In this sense, we want to underline that we solicited the high patronage of His Majesty the King of Morocco for this national project with African and international dimension.
Since Africa is in a process of change, the ACOA’s editions systematically plan to dedicate themes to the public sector and the public-private partnership to debate of projects with structuring impact and their related issues.
